The Cabinet of Curiosities of the magician Paco González is a place to be amazed, a magnet for curiosity and also a work cabinet. The objects on display here are the result of his life and intellectual career and evoke the cabinets of curiosities or chambers of wonders that emerged in Europe during the Renaissance. At the end of the 16th century, numerous collections of objects were formed, chosen mainly for their strangeness or exoticism, the result of great voyages of exploration. Cabinets were places designed to observe the unknown and try to decipher it. With the Enlightenment, they acquired an encyclopedic character, specialising in precise areas of knowledge. They are at the origin of many current museums.

The collection assembled by Paco González contains objects related to his field work and his research in different parts of the world. It is, therefore, a representation of the themes that fascinate him and the questions he wants to elucidate. As in his mind, playing cards, Chinese rings and magic lanterns are linked with bison and prehistoric Venus, symbols of protection, masks, idols, offerings, reliquaries and votive offerings. The diversity of material culture that explains human beings beyond our time and ourselves. In his work as a magician, Paco González links illusionism to thought and magical rituals in what he calls ritual illusionism. A way of conceiving magic that places him before the great enigmas of nature and human behavior.
