From February 24 to March 29 , in the exhibitors of the Lobby of the Public Library of Palencia, you can visit the exhibition "Oil Stones" by María Jesús Molinero.

Born in Palencia , he became passionate about painting at a very young age and taught himself to paint with oil on canvas. Later, he continued to experiment with oil painting on other supports such as tiles and stones. His technique is based on soft brushstrokes and spatula strokes to give texture and depth, giving his works a particular life.

Her themes range from still lifes to costumbrist scenes, especially those referring to the Castilian countryside. Her style navigates between figuration and realism, drawing on the naive current of the 20th century, where a palette of bright colours is used to transmit joy and simplicity when representing reality. She portrays nature from her own inventiveness, giving it a new transcendence that does not leave the viewer indifferent. She has a very marked style that she has developed over the years and from her experience as a painter.
