The Palencia City Council and the Castilian-Leonese Institute of Language are organizing the photography exhibition Certain Dazzlings at the Palencia Public Library, an exhibition project that includes twenty photographs of different sizes created by the Leonese photographer José Ramón Vega, accompanied by texts by the professor and writer from Zamora based in Leon, Tomás Sánchez Santiago.

These are images that attempt to suggest subtle narrative spaces, moments that are still, full of light, a light that is sometimes dazzling and overwhelming, and other times whispered and deliberately incidental. The exhibition is also complemented by the titles that appear on the cover of some of these photographs, belonging to the covers of the poetry collection De la belleza (Of Beauty ) published by the publishing house Eolas and coordinated and directed by the writer from Valladolid, Gustavo Martín Garzo.

José Ramón Vega and Tomás Sánchez Santiago, who had previously worked together, have created a poetic unit capable of transmitting to the visitor sensations and feelings around the word and the image. The publication of the book La belleza de lo pequeño (Eolas Ediciones), by Tomás Sánchez Santiago, put both authors in contact and aligned them as a minor constellation, barely perceptible, but with a place in the universe, with reason it is infinite, everything has a place in it , says Vega, who recognizes that the title of the exhibition, Ciertos deslumbramientos , is the result of a consensus between both, once the idea was clear and it was necessary to give it body and wrapping. First there were the images, then there were the texts, then the inevitable changes and discards, then the clarifications, the title, a meaning and an ending.

In Ciertos deslumbramientos, a serene stampede of spaces is manifested to stop the light, empty it of temporality, lay bare that adventure of instants that is, in the end, life. This is the opinion of the poet Tomás Sánchez Santiago, who was inspired by the images taken by José Ramón Vega when creating the texts that accompany the photographs. The writer also highlights the vitality that Vega has imbued in his creative work.
