The "Las tardes del club" group brings together a group of people belonging to the reading club "Words against forgetting" of the "María Teresa Leon" library.
The recital "Ellas, Premio Cervantes" is a cultural event that will consist of reading some texts by the six women who have been awarded the Cervantes Prize over these 48 years, in order to highlight them and make their work visible.
The activity we are presenting aims to make visible the literary work of women, which has been hidden and undermined for so long, and to make the importance of poetry as a means of expression known to the public. In this case, we have chosen the only six women who have been awarded the Cervantes Prize, valid since 1976. We propose to take a tour of these six authors María Zambrano (1988), Dulce María Loinaz (1992), Ana María Matute (2010), Elena Poniatowska (2013), Ida Vitale (2018) and Cristina peri Rossi (2021), linking it with the context that surrounded them and offering the public to participate in the activity as well.
With a duration of approximately 60 minutes, this group invites the adult public to attend this public reading that will surely be very enjoyable.
Admission is free and open to the public until full capacity is reached.
