On Friday, January 10, the documentary "Cabezones" will be screened in our Multipurpose Room (4th floor), at 7:00 p.m. After the screening, there will be a discussion with its directors, Luis Enrique Valdés Duarte and Alberto Maceo.


This documentary tells, in the voice of some of his descendants, the extraordinary rise of Nicolás Cabezón and the reason for his downfall. He left his hometown in the hardest years of the Spanish postwar period, with the dream of "making it in the Americas." After much effort, he managed to found the most important hardware store in Havana and a legend for the prosperous Cuban society of those years: Feito y Cabezón. The hardware store exists. Now it is called La Cubana.
