Along with the original paintings, drawings, sculptures and engravings, there are also some copies, fragments or essays on books, loose pages with artistic interventions, as well as printed or unpublished books. There is also audiovisual material, with the masterful intervention of Tomás Sanchez Santiago, Antonio Gamoneda or Ángel L. Prieto de Paula on the artistic/poetic dialogue with the work of Carlos Piñel.
Carlos Piñel (visual artist) was director of the Ethnographic Museum of Zamora, professor of Plastic Experiences at the School of Fine Arts of S. Eloy (1974-1979).
Since 1969, he has held several solo exhibitions. During his early years, he participated in biennials and competitions and received several awards. He continues to carry out artistic work (painting, drawing, artist's books) in relation to the work of some of the most important contemporary poets, such as Pablo Neruda, Federico García Lorca, Miguel Hernández, Antonio Gamoneda or Claudio Rodríguez.
His works can be found in numerous museums, foundations, public entities and private collections in Spain and abroad.
