Presentation of the book about Mari Trini by the Segovian artist Esther Zecco.

As a tribute to a lifetime dedicated to songs, Esther Zecco has prepared the book "Mari Trini. Portrait of a free woman" (Editorial Efe Eme, 2024) in which she reviews the years of Mari Trini's musical career. Starting with her childhood in the lands of Murcia and her arrival in Madrid, her jump as a teenager to Paris where several geniuses of the time will notice her gifts and open the doors for France to be the first country in which Mari Trini will obtain her recognition. A stopover in London and a return to Madrid to stay permanently in Spain, where she will discover her life partner. A book in which great musicians will parade, some known to the general public, and others who, being important in the music industry, have not received the necessary tribute, as has happened to Mariny Callejo, closely linked to Los Brincos, Massiel and, of course, Mari Trini. Within its pages we will learn that Mari Trini was not shy, just shy and the reason for that half smile, as well as the origin of some of this woman's most memorable songs.

Let's hope that Esther Zecco's book is the beginning of the tributes and recognition that this woman deserves for everything she meant in the era in which she lived and how, to this day, she continues to amaze those who hear her songs for the first time, since some of her lyrics are still fully relevant today.
