Presentation of "Inhabiting the sigh" by Sonia Martín Giménez.

A sigh is a very brief space of time. A sigh is a strong intake of breath, sometimes accompanied by a moan, and can denote various feelings: sorrow, fear, anguish… but also joy, desire, hope…
A sigh is also a sweet, a candy, and even some types of climbing plants are named after it. Furthermore, the sigh that I imagine has a shape and volume. Sometimes it is a sphere and walking along its surface is exciting or dizzying; following its wake is going beyond the moment that originates it. To inhabit its center, its navel, is to travel to the unique universe of its essence or to the deepest and most intimate feeling that engenders it, to the "I" that tries to show itself and to slip away at the same time in a game of mirrors and chiaroscuros that are ultimately that need to tell oneself and that shame of being seen. Sometimes, my sigh is a polyhedron, almost never regular, and as such, it has vertices and edges that complicate or disturb the journey; but they also add risk, mystery, uncertainty, adventure and even irony from time to time. My sigh has windows to the world beyond its own premeditated or unpremeditated ignorance, and from it we can also see other realities, other circumstances that undoubtedly and without seeking it condition it, complement it and sometimes, perforate it and become integrated into it.
And above all, like each one of us, I have a refuge inside or outside or on the margins or tangent or secant to my sigh or perhaps passing through it completely: the letter, the word... sometimes living it as a desire, other times as a gentle rain or antidote that cures, heals, nourishes and makes everything green.
With this collection of poems (beyond the modesty, doubt, uncertainty or fear that showing oneself causes) I invite you to look into my sigh, to walk its surface and even, like myself, to inhabit it; to be it.
