70th Anniversary " Gift of Drunkenness ".

In January 1954, "Don de la ebriedad" (Gift of drunkenness) was published, a luminous introductory book by a young nineteen-year-old poet. As we celebrate the 70th anniversary of the publication of that song of enthusiasm and wonder that dazzled Spanish poetry, it was unavoidable to dedicate this 10th edition of the Conference to the work with which it all began. We wish to know its influence on later poetry and, above all, on current poetry, to open the book to approaches from diverse disciplines and to address its presence in other languages. Because it continues to be given in full light.

18:00 h Lecture by Antonio Martínez Ron, The Extraterrestrial Poet. Mysticism of the Sky in the Work of Claudio Rodríguez . Presented by Luis Ramos de la Torre.

19:45 h Commented reading of poems by Pilar Adón . Presented by Héctor Escobar Zamora.

18:00 h Round table: The gift of drunkenness in recent Spanish poetry with Rosa Berbel , Ben Clark and Félix Moyano . Presented by David Refoyo and Pablo García Malmierca.

19:30 h Poetry reading by Rosa Berbel , Ben Clark and Félix Moyano.

20:30 h Presentation of the dossier The Living Song of Claudio Rodríguez . By Luis Ramos and Miguel Casaseca.

11:30 a.m. Round table Translating Claudio’s gift. Conversation with Laurence Breysse-Chanet and Pietro Taravacci . Presented by Natalia Carbajosa.

1:00 p.m. Musical closing with poems by Don de la ebriedad . Airanta Project , "In full light" . Luis Ramos (guitar and voice), Fernando García (piano, violin and voice), Pablo Estébanez , (double bass), Ana Castro (clarinet, flute, percussion and voice).

The number of places is limited and will be allocated in the order of registration. The Seminar will provide accreditation of attendance at the conference to those registered who request it.
