Technology Workshop Come learn with us!

Technology evolves rapidly and it is increasingly important to train and educate oneself in technological self-sufficiency. For this reason, the Public Library of Zamora is resuming this initiative in November, which began in the summer of 2023 with great success and acceptance among library users. The objective of these practical workshops is to bring citizens closer to the safe use of technology by learning the skills and abilities necessary in everyday life.

This edition will have 5 sessions that will begin on November 5 in the afternoon and will be held on the following Tuesdays of the month until December 3.

  • November 5 > Advanced WhatsApp: discover all its hidden features
    In this workshop you will learn more about this instant messaging application for communicating via chat, phone call or video call. Learn about privacy and security features. Create and manage groups and broadcast lists. Use WhatsApp from your computer and tablet.

  • November 12 > Master your mobile: functions and tools you didn't know about
    Learn about the main features of today's mobile phones, how to customize some options, useful settings, backups and synchronization, as well as useful functions to solve problems in different situations.
    Registration from October 29th.
  • November 19 > Your online shopping and banking safely and efficiently
    Learn essential tips for the online purchasing process, as well as the safest payment methods and practical examples of the main shopping and auction websites available on the Internet. All while keeping security in mind throughout the entire process.

  • November 26 > Online administration: manage your procedures from home
    There are several ways to identify ourselves online, just as we would if we went in person to carry out the procedure we want to carry out. Find out what a digital certificate is, how to use the electronic DNI, how to request and obtain the digital certificate from the FNMT or register in the Cl@ve System. Find out how to handle administration online and from home.

  • December 3 > Google in depth. How to search better and use its tools
    Learn about Google's applications and resources, tips for performing effective searches, formats based on the information you want to obtain, Google storage tools, and how to create files through Google.
