But how did he end up in prison? Raimundo cooks while learning to defend himself and discovers a series of rules that he uses to his advantage: sooner or later the chef also wants his share and no one knows better than him which portions are the tastiest. Rediscovered in the 1990s by Martin Scorsese and Francis Ford Coppola, this documentary reveals a key moment in the history of cinema through the stories of surviving actors and technicians, and shows the unusual contrast between the brilliance of the Slavic soul and the chiaroscuros of Afro-Cuban culture.
