The poet José Zorrilla moral was born here on the 21st February 1817. The building dates from the beginning of the 19th century. There is a passageway leading on the left to the library, financed with the funds that the academic Don Narciso Alonso Cortés donated to the city.

The drawing room has two rococo console tables and a painting signed by Valdivia in 1887. On the piano there is a visitors book in honour of Zorrilla, signed by important people of the era.In the study is the writer's desk. It is known that Zorrilla used to write facing the wall so as not to be distracted.
