The church of Villavega Aguilar gathers the most typical characteristics of regional Romanesque, although some later additives and reinforcements distort its original image slightly. We are witnessing of the typical temple of semicircular apse, with a domed nave, divided into four sections, and belfry on the wall of the West, with the façade opening to the South.
