Medieval Market of La Adrada
The Medieval Market of La Adrada is one of the oldest medieval festivals in the province of Ávila. The granting of the title of the Charter of Villazgo to La Adrada on October 14, 1393 by King Henry III, had as a privilege the obtaining of different concessions that marked the link of the town with the cultural, historical and agrarian tradition during the Age. Half.
Since 2002, and coinciding with the dates on which May Long Weekend takes place (end of April and beginning of May), the medieval market has been held.
Every year, the historic center and the main cultural symbol of the municipality, the La Adrada Castle, are decorated with banners, pennants, banners, merchant stalls, food, crafts, jugglers, exhibitions of falconry birds and street shows, staging life in the medieval town.
