From Puerto del Pontón to Amieva

This route was once one of the most important communication routes between Eastern Asturias and the plateau of Castilla y Leon, the road goes between the Ponton defile to Cangas de Onis.

This route shows the walker one of the most amazing landscapes of Picos de Europa. He would discover places of incomparable beauty, such as the meadow and oak forests of Verrunde, la Pica Ten, Los Collaos, the mount of Beza, the sheepfolds of Saugu and Toneyo. In addition, the route crosses cosy villages where rest such as Oseja, Soto and Amieva.
