Data of interest
Around
We leave Peñafiel, with the intention of continuing touring the Ribera del Duero through the less known part and getting away from the N-122, so our route will be along the northern bank of the Duero, specifically along the Valbuena de Duero highway to Renedo.
From Valladolid we will begin a route through castles and walled towns, starting in Fuensaldaña, which will be the town that will lead us to the Torozos Mountains and from there we will go to the Torrelobatón Castle, a reference of the community movement, San Cebrián de Mazote and its Mozarabic church of San Cipriano, perfectly preserved, and very close to the curious walled town of Urueña, where there are more bookstores than bars and from where you can see dozens of kilometers of multicolored plain.

To consider...
Visits to many of the castles have limited hours. You can find all the information at the following link: www.turismocastillayleon.com/es/horarios .
This route has many straight sections, with good visibility and little traffic, so do not abuse your speed.
At the Almendra dam, you can park in the center of the wall without a problem. There is a large parking lot and it is much larger than the one on the sides.
In Salamanca, there is the Automotive History Museum and in the nearby town of Santa Marta de Tormes, you can find the Historical Motorcycle Museum that will surprise you.
