Located in the Laguna Negra Natural Park and Glacier Circuses of Urbión. In Covaleda, there are some trees of extraordinary dimensions that stand out above the rest: The Grandfathers of the Forest, which have survived thanks to the work carried out by the managers of these mountains. Pleasant, marked and highly recommended walk to enjoy a busy forest of these specimens, as well as the views of masses of pine and beech trees that leave no one indifferent.

The beginning of the trail is reached by taking the paved forest track that leaves from PK 57.4 of the SO-850 highway next to the Cabañeros de Covaleda industrial estate, towards Picos de Urbión.
