From Monasterio del Desierto de San José to Parking 1 - Ctra. La Alberca-Las Mestas

Located in Las Batuecas- Sierra de Francia Natural Park. From the parking lot, a suspended wooden walkway next to the Batuecas River takes visitors to the Batuecas Monastery, where the tour ends. The monastery is strictly closed and cannot be visited.

During the itinerary, two small bridges cross the crystalline waters of the river and we find information panels about the flora and fauna of the place, which include alder trees, cork oaks, strawberry trees and the undergrowth of mountain pine, lavender, rockrose and heather. As for the fauna, we can find ibex, water blackbird, salamander, common trout and vermilion.
