From Riofrío de Aliste to Sarracín de Aliste

Located in Aliste. We begin this route in Riofrío, walking among its buildings of traditional architecture made with quartzite and slate and sighting its mills, we will take a path parallel to the Becerril or Frío river. Inside the town we will see a couple of mills, one of them restored (La Culaga) and another abandoned. We negotiate the river through bridges and pontoons. We arrive at an abandoned mill (San Cibrián) and cross the river. On this left bank the valley becomes wider, oaks, hawthorns, and cistus appear as we move away from the riverbed. We follow the course of the river until we reach a group of corrals (La Mayada).

From here we head towards Sarracín de Aliste, passing through the Picón Recreational Area. Finally, downstream one kilometer from Riofrío de Aliste, is the restored Juan Río mill.
