A mycological path between the towns of Montemayor del Río and El Cerro has just been opened to the public, a beautiful circular route that runs between oak and chestnut trees in the Sierra de Béjar.

It is a signposted path, just over nine kilometers, that can be traveled without undue effort. In the initial section, from Montemayor through the Cañada Real Soriana Occidental and de la Plata, the interpretative path of the Mushrooms is concentrated, which has seven panels on the mycological theme.

In El Cerro the protagonist is the chestnut tree, which is the argument of four other explanatory panels. On the outskirts of the town is the viewpoint of the mycological trails, from where you can see the southern mountain ranges of the province of Salamanca, which reach the same Raya with Portugal.
